Classes have been suspended in Metro Manila starting March 10 until March 14 following the declaration from President Rodrigo Duterte. Students will not be allowed to enter UA&P during this time and all student activities have been cancelled.
In light of the new cases of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the Philippines, the University of Asia and the Pacific urges everyone within the UA&P community to remain vigilant in our efforts and continue following precautionary measures to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
In the event of an extended period of government-mandated closure for schools, UA&P is preparing to conduct teaching and learning activities on online platforms in order to fulfill its commitment to its students.
As previously announced, the University has implemented non-contact infrared thermal scanning at all campus entrances and strongly recommended self-quarantine to all students and employees who have recently traveled to areas with confirmed cases of COVID-19.
The University has also made hand sanitizers available in several areas around the campus and is currently in the midst of cleaning operations to sanitize communal areas as well as employee workspaces to keep the campus free from infection.
Students and employees are still advised against travelling abroad and to suspend all off-campus activities and gatherings while the University continues to conduct its due diligence in monitoring all members of the community for signs of infection.
